Bruce Humberstone World War I (WWI) France Army military screwball comedy ("The Cockeyed World will laugh itself silly!"; "It's a jamboree of fun!"; a silly plot about washed up vaudevillians who end up working in France during World War I; they meet a French officer's American daughter, played by Withers, and they are mistaken for German spies and escape in a hot-air balloon, but that takes them to Germany and while there, they capture a German general and return to France as heroes!) starring Jane Withers, The Ritz Brothers (Al, Harry and Jimmy), Lynn Bari, Joseph Schildkraut, Stanley Fields, Fritz Leiber and Lionel Royce. Note that this movie was apparently remade a year later in England with an all-English cast, but with largely the same plot, and that it bears no relationship to the 1932 Laurel & Hardy movie of the same name! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: poor to fair. The poster is in much lesser condition. There are several defects scattered along the edges and foldlines/crossfolds and there are several significant areas of foldline and/or crossfold separation. Many of the defects have been repaired with tape from the back that may bleed through to the front. There is MUCH rippling and discoloration throughout the poster from exposure to moisture.
