An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the classic 1923 Wallace Worsley Universal silent Paris France Notre Dame Cathedral romantic religious historical horror melodrama ( "'Mighty Epic of a Mighty Epoch'"; adapted from the equally classic novel by Victor Hugo) starring Lon Chaney Sr. (in the title role as "Quasimodo", the Hunchback of Notre Dame), Patsy Ruth Miller (as Esmerelda), Norman Kerry, Kate Lester, Elmo Lincoln (best remembered for being the very first actor to portray Tarzan in the movies in 1918), and Winifred Bryson. Note that there was a wonderful sound remake of this classic silent movie in 1939, with Charles Laughton and Maureen O'Hara in the lead roles.

Important Added Info: Note that there are green and black cards for this classic horror movie, and also full-color cards. I have talked to many collectors about this, and the consensus opinion is that the green and black cards are the ones that Universal made for the very first release, and that the color cards were made soon after (the movie stayed in first release for a couple of years). So for those who feel this is important, the cards offered here (14 cards, one vertical, as 14 separate items) are the very first release from this most classic of Universal horror movies! Not only are these cards ultra-rare, but they are in wonderful condition as well! Be sure to look at the other 13 cards from this set we are currently selling elsewhere on eBay (as 13 separate items).

Condition: fine. a few creases in each corner and some light water staining in the left side of the bottom border. Other than these minor defects, the card is in wonderful condition!
