Alfred Hitchcock's Spellbound, the 1945 Alfred Hitchcock (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) amnesia romantic psychological suspense thriller ("This is love!"; "Complete... Reckless... Violent!"; "Forever ...Irresistibly Spellbound!"; "Irresistible their love! INESCAPABLE their fears!"; "The Maddest Love that ever possessed a woman"; "These two together to hold you"; "Screenplay by Ben Hecht"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; a strange story of an amnesiac in a hospital who is discovered to be posing as a doctor, but when the doctor is found dead, a female psychiatrist, who has fallen in love with him, tries to find out who he really is and who really killed the doctor; the surreal dream sequences in this movie were designed by Salvador Dali!) starring Ingrid Bergman (billed as "Ingrid Bergman's First Picture since winning the Academy Award"; as a psychiatrist!), Gregory Peck, Michael Chekhov (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Leo G. Carroll, Donald Curtis, Rhonda Fleming (in her first real role, as a nymphomaniac!), Norman Lloyd, John Emery, Regis Toomey, Addison Richards, and Art Baker. Note that Rhonda Fleming was just 22 and had not had any real parts before being cast in this movie. But when she learned she was a "nymphomaniac", she said "I didn't even know what a nymphomaniac was. My mother and I had to look it up in the dictionary."!

Condition: very good. the poster was paperbacked; prior to restoration, it had rough creases along the folds and smudges and creases in the borders and around the edges of the image; there were pinholes in the corners and tiny paper loss at the ends of the foldlines; the above defects were expertly touched up during the paperbacking process; you can see traces of restoration from inches away, but from any distance they pretty much vanish; there does not appear to be any paint restoration on the poster except in the above areas
