An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still(Learn More)
Mike Mazurki was an actor from the 1930s to the 1990s. He was 6 foot 5 and very large, and he had been a football player and professional wrestler, before entering movies, where his size stereotyped the type of roles he would get. His is likely best remembered for his role as Moose Malloy in Murder, My Sweet. Some of his other movies include: The Shanghai Gangster, Taxi, Mister, The Canterville Ghost, Samson and Delilah, Kismet, Some Like It Hot, and The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin. He passed away in 1990 at the age of 82.
Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Mike Mazurki! Note that this item was consigned to us from the family of Ken Jones, who was an author of books about movies (including books about character actors and western stars). In the course of researching his books, he became friends with many Hollywood actors, and he would ask them to autograph stills for him (originals if he had them, or repros if he did not), and they obliged, usually returning the stills to him with a personalized inscription "To Ken". The family does not have a letter of authenticity for this signed item, but we feel certain it is authentic, given Mr. Jones' personal relationship with the star. Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm].
