An Original Vintage German Film Program (measures 9" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; 8 pages) (Learn More)

The Knockout, the 1925 Lambert Hillyer silent romantic love triangle boxing sports lumberjack logging melodrama ("-and sweetie counts him out"; "Adapted from 'The Come-Back' by M.D.C. Crawford"; about a world champion boxer who has to retire due to an arm injury; he becomes a lumberjack, and gets involved with the daughter of the owner, but rivals sabotage their operation, and the boxer has to return to the ring to save the owner from bankruptcy and win the hand of the daughter) starring Milton Sills, Lorna Duveen, John Kolb, Edmund Lawrence, and Harry Cording. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that German programs from the early 1920s are INCREDIBLY scarce, especially from major movies. This is almost certainly because of the great paper shortages in Germany during World War II, during which all earlier paper was recycled, which means virtually no pre-World War II German paper survives. Also note that we have pictured the front cover, and two interior 2-page spreads from this program.

Condition: good to very good. The program was once in a bound volume and there are two punch holes in all pages (only blank white paper is affected), and otherwise, the program is in nice condition!
