Mickey's Mellerdrammer, the 1933 Wilfred Jackson Walt Disney animated animation blackface stage family comedy cartoon short (about Mickey and friends performing Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle Tom's Cabin) featuring the voices of Elvia Allman (as Clarabelle Cow), Billy Bletcher (as Horace Horsecollar), Pinto Colvig (as Goofy), Walt Disney (in the title role as Mickey Mouse), and Marcellite Garner (as Minnie Mouse)

Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper of any kind from this Disney cartoon is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned anything from this cartoon until we received this pencil drawing! Our consignor purchased this many years ago from Jan Wahl. Mr. Wahl wrote over 100 children's books and received many awards, including the Coretta Scott King Prize. Throughout his career, he had a great love of early film, and he collected many items from silent and early sound films. This one he had framed (extremely nicely), and it was displayed on his wall. When our consignor purchased it from Mr. Wahl, Mr. Wahl did not have a certificate of authenticity, but he felt certain it is an original pencil drawing from when this cartoon was first made in 1933. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Finally, note that this is a very nice frame, and we can send the framed drawing to the winning bidder, or if they prefer, we can remove the drawing from the frame and send the two separately packed, or we can just send the drawing (but that will be the choice of the new owner).

Condition: very good. The drawing has a few creases (see our image).
