Artist: Charles Buckles Falls Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note that this is one of seventeen wonderful World War I posters we were consigned, which we are auctioning in separate auctions. All of them are extremely fragile and in urgent need of restoration, but all of them CAN be "rescued", and after proper restoration they will display wonderfully (and many of them are incredibly rare). Please read our condition description below and look at our super-sized image before bidding on any of these great posters! Condition: fair to good. The poster has much water staining in the top and bottom borders, but it is incredibly lucky that it is almost all in the blank white paper. There is paper loss in upper right corner that slightly affects the background and also small paper loss in the bottom right corner. There is rippling scattered across the center of the poster with two 4" tears in the right border. This is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration! It is likely that many or most of the stains can be removed chemically, and after proper restoration the poster will look fantastic (and require almost no paint restoration within the image), but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
