Robert Kent (originally billed as "Douglas Blackley") was a prizefighter and stage actor before entering the film industry, working from the 1930s to the 1950s. Some of his movies include: The Phantom Creeps, Who's Guilty?, and The Country Girl. He passed away in 1955 at the age of 46 from a heart attack.

Important Added Info: Note that this Christmas card has been personally autographed (signed) by Robert Kent! Apparently, Mr. Kent (when he was still known as "Douglas Blackley") had this great art image of him by James Montgomery Flagg (which perhaps he commissioned) printed onto heavy card stock, and he apparently sent them out as Christmas cards, going by the inscription on the back.

Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items, and over the years he did not re-sell any of the autographed items. Now he has gathered up together all of his autographed items and consigned them to us. So all of the items from this consignor we are auctioning were purchased by this dealer from longtime dealers and collectors, and we feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic!

As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
