An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Paper Banner (measures 24" x 82") (Learn More) The Graduate, the classic 1968 Mike Nichols (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) coming-of-age romantic melodrama ("'Benjamin do you find me undesirable?' 'Oh, no Mrs. Robinson. I think you're the most attractive of all my parents' friends.'"; "This is Benjamin. He's a little worried about his future."; "'Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me...aren't you?'"; "Screenplay by Calder Willingham and Buck Henry"; "Songs by Paul Simon performed by Simon and Garfunkel"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; about a college graduate who becomes involved with the wife of his father's business partner and then romances her daughter) starring Anne Bancroft (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; as Mrs. Robinson), Dustin Hoffman (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as Benjamin Braddock), Katharine Ross (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; as Elaine Robinson), William Daniels (as Mr. Braddock), Murray Hamilton (as Mr. Robinson), Elizabeth Wilson (as Mrs. Braddock), Buck Henry (who wrote the screenplay, as the "Room Clerk"), Brian Avery (as Carl), Norman Fell (as Mr. McCleery), and a young Richard Dreyfuss (in a bit part, but he does have two lines!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned this paper banned once before, and the buyer of that banner has now re-consigned it to us, so this is still the only example of this banner we have ever auctioned! Condition: good to very good. The banner has a circular brown stain in the middle of the right edge, entering the right center of the "E" of the "GRADUATE". There are many smudges, scuffs, and creases scattered throughout the poster, typical of paper banners. Even with these defects, I would think many collectors could display this great poster just as it is, or certainly, a talented restorer could linenback it, and the poster would look great! Of course, one would prefer a better condition example of this poster, but I don't know that one exists (especially because this poster is from the pre-Academy Awards Embassy release of this movie!
