An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked British Quad Movie Poster (measures 23 1/2" x 38") (Learn More) Four For Texas, the 1963 Robert Aldrich gambling casino cowboy western comedy ("It's a daisy!"; "They're bustin' up the West like it's never been busted up before!"; "The far out story of the far west..."; "Take to the hills boys!"; "How the West was lost!" "How the West was lost with an assist by") starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Anita Ekberg, Ursula Andress, Charles Bronson, Victor Buono, The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Joe DeRita; billed as "Guest Stars"), and Bob Steele NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this British quad measures 23 1/2" x 38", and has no blank borders. It seems extremely likely it is a 30" x 40" poster that has had its blank borders very neatly trimmed off, but we suppose it is possible it was printed a smaller size with no borders. If anyone knows for sure either way, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are slightly noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "Pre-Restoration Defects & Quality of Restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). It appears the poster had its blank borders trimmed off . Otherwise, the poster had wear along the foldlines and a 3" tear in the center of the top border, and some scattered smudges throughout the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. It was well backed, but the restorer simply backed it "as is" (and the defects described above are not very noticeable or distracting). Learn More about condition grades
