An Unfolded Italian Film Festival Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 39 3/4" [70 x 101 cm]) (Learn More)

1957 Spoleto 1967, the 1967 Italian festival poster promoting the Festival dei Due Mondi that was held in Spoleto, Italy from June 30th to July 16th. The festival was founded by composer Gian Carlo Menotti in 1958, and features concerts, opera, dance, drama, visual arts and round table discussions on science. In 1977, it became the "Festival dei Due Mondi" (Festival of the Two Worlds), because starting that year, there was a "twin" festival held at the same time in Charleston, South Carolina, in the U.S. In 1986, a third festival was added in Melbourne, Australia. But the composer passed away in 2007, and the festivals have had their ups and downs over the years. Note that this poster, which is from the 10th anniversary of the festival, features wild art by Richard Lindner.
Artist: Richard Lindner
Important Added Info: Note that this is the original poster from 1967, and is not any sort of modern reproduction.

Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. There is tiny paper loss near the top of the right blank border, with a few tiny tears in the borders. There are a few faint smudges scattered in the image. Otherwise, the poster is in nice condition!
