Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded French Movie Poster (measures 23" x 31") (Learn More)

Dark Passage, the 1947 Delmer Daves San Francisco California romantic crime film noir ("Together again!"; "In danger as violent as their love!!!"; "Their crowning achievement together!"; "The hunted become the hunters... As a spectacular Saturday Evening Post serial is brought to the screen!"; "From the Novel by David Goodis") starring Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Bruce Bennett, Agnes Moorehead, Tom D'Andrea, Clifton Young, and Douglas Kennedy. Note that this was the third movie in which Humphrey Bogart co-starred with Lauren Bacall. They first met during the filming of "To Have and Have Not" in 1944, and then were married in 1945. They re-teamed for "The Big Sleep" in 1946, and then made this movie the following year. They teamed again in "Key Largo" in 1948, but they did not make another movie together after that, likely having a lot to do with their having two children.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good to very good. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had creasing and tiny paper loss along the foldlines and some light scuffing throughout the poster. The borders were somewhat tattered with tears and small areas of paper loss. The restorer very neatly placed new paper over the old borders and I think few people would realize it unless it was specifically pointed out to them. There has been some light restoration throughout the poster to minimize the fold defects and scuff marks, and it was nicely done as the poster looks nice from any distance away (although you can see traces of restoration down the top of the vertical fold and across the middle of the horizontal fold).
