An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Nightshirt Bandit, the 1938 Jules White sleepwalking crime comedy short ("Wake up and laugh!"; "A Columbia 2-Reel Comedy"; from the story by Aleen Leslie; about a criminology professor who sets out to catch a thief who strikes at night, only to find out that the professor suffers from sleepwalking and he is actually the bandit!) starring Charley Chase (primarily remembered as a great silent comedian who appeared in 276 movies, most of them comedy shorts, Chase also directed 140 comedy shorts), James Morton, Eva McKenzie, Phyllis Barry, Marjorie Deane, June Gittelson, and Fred 'Snowflake' Toones NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we were consigned this one-sheet! Condition: fair to good. The vertical foldline of the poster has almost fully separated in several areas and is fragile (the bottom of the vertical foldline is held together only by a small amount of paper.) There is a small tape repair on back. It is mostly "all there", though, and after proper restoration the very rare poster could display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
