2629 42ND STREET #2 movie sheet music '33 Powell, Ginger Rogers

An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Sheet Music (measures approximately 9" x 12"; 6 pages) (Learn More)

42nd Street, the classic 1933 Lloyd Bacon New York City Broadway theater stage acting romantic love triangle all-star musical ("14 stars 200 girls"; based on the novel by Bradford Ropes; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; with dances staged by Busby Berkeley) starring Dick Powell, Edward J. Nugent, Ginger Rogers, Warner Baxter, Bebe Daniels, George Brent, Ruby Keeler, Una Merkel, Guy Kibbee, Margaret La Marr, Donna Mae Roberts, Adele Lacy, Jayne Shaddack, George E. Stone, Ned Sparks, Ruth Eddings, Edna Callahan, Lynn Browning, Toby Wing, Loretta Andrews, Barbara Rogers, and Allen Jenkins. Note that this movie, which may be the first sound movie to use the cliche of the star being injured and an untested newcomer gets her big break as a result, had some of the most risque advertising of any movie ever, with many images of girls wearing the skimpiest of costumes!

Important Added Info: Note that this sheet music from this movie is for the title song "Forty-Second Street".
NOTE: In this case, the #2 in the title of the sale is not the number of the sheet music. Because we are selling more than one sheet music from this movie this week as separate eBay sales, we needed to differentiate the different sales, and we did so by marking them "#1, #2, #3, etc..".
Also note that most sheet musics were printed on an inexpensive paper, so the covers scuff fairly easily (which is why we want you to look at our larger images before bidding). Almost all of the sheet musics we offer are in pretty good condition other than wear on the cover.

Condition: very good. This vintage movie paper item (or related movie memorabilia) is in from somewhat lesser condition (what most collectors might call "good to very good" or "good") to clearly lesser condition (what some collectors might call "fair"). The item offered here has defects typical of many items that are forty to ninety years old, and some are mainly only in the borders or on the covers (if it is an item with multiple pages), so it is likely that the item can still be displayed and enjoyed. Please look at our "super-sized" image, as it will greatly help you know what condition this item is in! But also remember that some of these items have defects that may not be seen from our images (either because we did not photograph every part of the item, or because they are the sort of defect that is not easily seen). Please do not bid on this item unless you can accept the defects that it has! But also know that we were extremely harsh in grading these items we are currently selling, because we wanted our buyers to be at least satisfied when they received their purchase, and possibly overjoyed! We downgraded many items to this lower condition grade (especially sheet music) because they had defects that are enough that we would not grade them as "very good", but we would still think many collectors would be happy with those items. If our super-sized image seems to be in nicer condition than you would expert the item to be in, know that it is likely a result of our having graded these items so harshly!
