An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

The Uninvited, the 1944 Lewis Allen romantic fantasy suspense ghost horror thriller ("From the most popular mystery romance since 'Rebecca'!"; "The story of a love that is out of this world!"; based on the novel by Dorothy Macardle) starring Ray Milland, Ruth Hussey, Donald Crisp, Cornelia Otis Skinner, Barbara Everest, Gail Russell (billed as "Introducing the Exciting Beauty of Paramount's New Star Gail Russell whose first love is shadowed by the spectres of the past!"), Dorothy Stickney, and Alan Napier. Note that Gail Russell suffered from terrible stage fright, and she was encouraged to drink while making this movie, to "calm her nerves", but that led to her becoming an alcoholic, and having a tragic end to her career and an early death.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned four examples of it and the last time was in 2009!

Condition: good to very good. The poster has pinholes around the edges and some fold edge separation in a few areas but they mainly only affect blank paper. There is small separation and paper loss in the top two crossfolds, and there is some separation and paper loss at the bottom crossfold with approximately 1 1/2" of vertical separation above that crossfold. There are a few tiny creases in portions of the lower left horizontal fold. The very rare poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition and after a relatively simple linenbacking it would look great!
