An Original Vintage Theatrical Jumbo Lobby Card Movie Poster (measures 11 1/4" x 14" [29 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Jean Arthur was famous during the 1920s to the 1950s as a smart, cute, sassy, and sexy screen personality. She was a major star of the 1930s, but she was far from an "overnight success"! She was born in 1900, and appeared in 46 silent movies, mostly in minor roles. Once sound movies began, she quickly gained stardom, no doubt partially due to her distinctive voice, and she became a major star in her middle thirties! Her final movie (a great choice for a swan song) was Shane. Some of her movies include: Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, You Can't Take It with You, Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, Seven Chances, The More The Merrier (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Only Angels Have Wings, The Talk of the Town, The Whole Town's Talking, and many more! She passed away in 1991 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that this jumbo lobby card originally measured 14" x 17", but somebody trimmed it to 11 1/4" x 14" [29 x 36 cm]. We have never auctioned a complete example of this jumbo lobby card, so we are just guessing, but it is almost certainly what occurred. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good. Someone took a jumbo lobby card that measures 14" x 17" and trimmed it to around Miss Arthur's figure. It can certainly be displayed as it is, but bear this in mind before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
