Orfeu Negro (released in the U.S. as "Black Orpheus"), the classic 1959 Marcel Camus Brazilian/French/Italian romantic melodrama ("Amid the splendor of Carnival in Rio... A modern retelling of the ancient legend of love and passion and violence!"; "Passionate! Volatile! Haunting!"; winner of the Best Foreign Language Academy Award; a re-telling of the Greek myth, updated to the present day and set at the Brazilian Carnival, and featuring black actors in the lead roles) starring Breno Mello (in the title role as Orfeu), Marpessa Dawn (as Eurydice), Marcel Camus, Fausto Guerzoni, and Lourdes de Oliveira
Artist: Georges Allard
Important Added Info: Note that this poster is virtually identical to that of the original 1959 release, even down to the same coloring (it has a tiny printer number that is different at the bottom that distinguishes it from the original 1959 poster). Also note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this partially French movie!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfold and some tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
