Tomorrow's despair....!"; "What happens at marihuana parties?"; "Lust crime sorrow despair shame hate"; "Not recommended for children"; "Smoke that gets in youth's eyes!"; "Misery"; "Weird orgies, wild parties, unleashed passions!"; "America's Crime Creator!"; "A puff of smoke changed their lives!"; "The weed with roots in Hell!", "The sweet pill...that makes life bitter!"; "The most daring picture ever made!") starring Harley Wood, Gloria Browne, Pat Carlyle, Juanita Crosland, Dorothy Dehn, Paul Ellis, Richard Erskine, Hugh McArthur and Hal Taggart. At the time this movie was meant to be a "daring drug expose", but it is now laughable and a camp classic, and posters from the first release of the movie in 1935 (and the roadshow releases that followed it in the late 1930s and early 1940s) are both rare and extremely desired by collectors. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that in the 1930s to 1950s some filmmakers would make special posters called "two-sheets". These usually measure 40x54 (give or take a little). They resemble the top part of three-sheets, but they are complete posters! I have only seen these from non-major studio films. Note that this poster came from a collection of expliotation posters from the 1920s to 1970s, including sexpliotation films, strip-tease films, and films with all-black casts. Such posters are far more rare than mainstream posters of the same years! This is because such films only played in a very limited number of theaters. Few posters were made and very few survive (especially from films from before 1970). Condition: good to very good. Several of the foldlines have 2" or less separation. The right center crossfold has 8" of separation. There are several 1" and smaller tears in the blank borders. There are creases throughout the poster.
