Care for Her Through the YWCA, the 1918 U.S. World War I (WWI) Home Front Young Women's Christian Association poster ("For every fighter a woman worker"; "United War Work Campaign"; "Care for her through the YWCA") encouraging women to support the war effort by taking jobs traditionally done by men, so that it would free up more men to join the armed forces, and featuring Adolph Triedler art of a woman worker holding ammunition and a biplane.
Artist: Adolph Triedler
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note that this is one of seventeen wonderful World War I posters we were consigned, which we are auctioning in separate auctions. All of them are extremely fragile and in urgent need of restoration, but all of them CAN be "rescued", and after proper restoration they will display wonderfully (and many of them are incredibly rare). Please read our condition description below and look at our super-sized image before bidding on any of these great posters!

Condition: fair to good. There are small tears along portions of the edges with many areas of paper loss down the left blank border and paper loss in the bottom right blank corner. There are light ripples and many light stains scattered throughout, (more so around the edges). This is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration! It is likely that many or most of the stains can be removed chemically, and after proper restoration the poster will look fantastic, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
