8 Original Vintage Theatrical Dutch 9 1/2" x 12" [24 x 30 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More)

Comanche Blanco (released in England as "White Comanche" and in France as "Rio Hondo"), the 1968 Jose Briz Mendez Spanish cowboy western (a really wacky story of twin half-breed brothers in the Old West, where one was raised as a cowboy and the other as an Indian) starring William Shatner (playing the twin brothers), Joseph Cotten, Rossana Yanni, Perla Cristal, and Mariano Vidal Molina. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. Nowadays, William Shatner is thought of as a legendary star, but after Star Trek was canceled in 1968, his career was going nowhere fast. He made this movie in Spain, which was universally panned, and then he retreated to "guest starring" in all of the major TV shows over the next five years, and it was not until the Star Trek movie was released in 1979 that his career started to make a comeback, and the 1970s (and this 1968 movie) were a time that Shatner would surely rather forget! But everyone seems to agree that this is one of those "so bad that it's good" movies, and if you like Shatner's style of major "overacting", you are sure to love this movie!
