A Linenbacked Special Poster (measures 21 1/4" x 56" [54 x 142 cm]) (Learn More)

Buffalo Ranch Real Wild West, the 1910s poster ("A lesson in the history of pioneer days"; "Games of the real red men"; "Equestrian Football", "The Real Indian War Dance"; "Camel Races") promoting a traveling show inspired by the famous Buffalo Bill's Wild West show which was created by Buffalo Bill Cody in 1883. Note that this poster features art of Native American Indians, cowgirls playing "equestrian football" and men racing camels. If anyone knows more about this or the exact date of this circa 1910s poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this special poster, and it sold for $785!

Note that this poster can be sent in a regular width tube that measures 24" long, but because it is a very long poster, it likely can't be combined with other linen posters, and will likely need to be sent in a tube by itself.

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had pretty minor fold wear. It had some darkening in the edges of the right and bottom borders that mostly look to be very minor printing defects. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above.
