An Original Vintage Magazine (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm]) (Learn More)

Drums of Fu Manchu, the 1940 John English & William Witney Asian villain crime adventure serial ("A Republic Serial in 15 Thrilling Chapters"; "Suggested by stories by Sax Rohmer"; "Based on a novel by Sax Rohmer") starring Henry Brandon (in the title role as Dr. Fu Manchu), William Royle, Robert Kellard, Gloria Franklin, and Olaf Hytten. Note that a condensed feature version of this serial was released as a feature in 1943. Because there was a three year lapse between this serial version and the feature version, we list them as two separate movies.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that this 20-page booklet was published by Jack Mathis. It has a summary of the serial and summaries of each chapter, with scenes from each chapter. Mathis also printed re-creations of original serial pressbooks from the 1930s and 1940s, and sometimes these tribute pressbooks are mistakenly sold as originals.

Condition: very good. Note that we have attempted to check to see if the magazine is complete and uncut, and we believe that it is. However, there is a slight possibility that we might have missed a small cut or a page that was neatly removed, and if that happens, you can return the magazine. We have solely provided an overall description of the condition of the magazine, but you can also refer to our super-sized images. Please bid (or not bid) based on that overall grade and by viewing the super-sized images.
