Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

The Upland Rider, the 1928 Albert S. Rogell silent cowboy western ("Story by Marion Jackson") starring Ken Maynard, Ena Gregory (billed as "Marian Douglas"), Lafe McKee, Sydney Jarvis (billed as "Sidney Jarvis"), and Robert Walker. Note that the Robert Walker credited above was NOT the Robert Walker who starred in the 1940s and 1950s, but a different Robert Walker who started making movies in 1913, and he appeared in an amazing 255 movies through 1953, a 40 year span, but most of those were westerns, and a lot of them were very minor roles, often uncredited. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Condition: very good. the poster was linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had many tape stains in all the blank borders, and the restorer carefully placed new paper over the old borders. It was expertly done and most people would not realize it was done if it were not pointed out to them. The image area was basically in nice condition EXCEPT for a 6" tear in the upper left of the image, starting in the background running through the chin of the woman and ending in the edge of Ken's hat. The image area was very well restored, and from any distance away, the poster looks wonderful, and there truly was little restoration within the image areas except for the repair to the tear at upper left.
