An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Under Two Jags, the 1923 George Jeske silent romantic military short (produced by Hal Roach) starring Stan Laurel, Katherine Grant, Mae Laurel, Sammy Brooks, and Charles Stevenson. Note that, prior to this movie, Stan Laurel had made approximately two dozen comedy shorts. But I do not know how many of them he had starring roles in, nor do I know if posters from any of them survive! This is the earliest Stan Laurel one-sheet I have seen, and he is top billed, and there is a great full-length artwork image of him! Note that it would be three more years before Laurel would begin appearing with Oliver Hardy!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: very good to fine. The poster had light extra foldlines just above and below the regular middle foldline. There was some minor wear on the borders and some creases, smudges, and pinholes in the blank borders. There were some faint stains in the lower part of the right edge of the right blank border. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed. The restorer did not touch up the above very minor defects, likely wanting to keep this great poster completely unrestored! Note that at some point after the poster was linenbacked, the poster was creased in the bottom left corner, and this crease runs through the poster and the linen itself, but it only runs through the edge of the blank corner of the poster.
