Important Added Info: Note that someone inserted metal grommets in the excess linen, which allowed them to display the three-sheet without framing it! It does not have any effect on the poster itself. Note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. We used our best information to date this poster, but we can't always guarantee that the Italian posters we sell are not from an unmarked re-release, but this will only prove to be true in a very tiny number of cases. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had tiny paper loss at just a few crossfolds and a very few creases, scuffs, and tiny tears on parts of some foldlines. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, but incredibly sadly, it received water staining, primarily in two areas. One was in the lower left corner, leaving a large water stain and also rippling the poster in that area, and the other is a thinner water stain 12" to the right of that, running down the center of Rock Hudson's credit down to the bottom border. I don't know whether a restorer can repair improve these areas enough without re-backing the poster, so please read our description above and look at our super-sized image before placing a bid on this poster, and realize that those two areas of water staining are a significant defect.
