What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was tri-folded only and had very minor fold wear and pinholes, tiny tears, and stains in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed onto a very thin linen with no restoration, and it was likely glued to a mat or board, because there is what look like glue stains scattered down the back of the right border and across the back of the bottom (but those don't affect the front, because they are on the back of the linen), and it has also picked up some slight border defects over the years due to rough handling. But it still displays well just as it is, or it could be easily re-backed and it would look great!
