Important Added Info: Note that Thelma & Louise created a sensation when it was released in 1991, and the following year, a company in Los Angeles created a Thelma & Louise stone lithograph created in the style and with the same production values of classic posters from the early 1900s (like those created for Toulouse-Lautrec). It was produced in a limited edition of 200 prints, all of which were autographed by writer Callie Khouri, the film's stars Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon, director Ridley Scott, and producer Mimi Polk. The image used was drawn by Michael Elins and the posters were printed by Toby Michel. Michel and Elins utilized eight stones (which weigh between 400 and 600 pounds each, and each is for a different color) for the Thelma & Louise lithograph, and they are printed on a high quality paper stock which was deliberately left uneven around the edges to better create the illusion that they are like early 1900s posters. The 200 signed and numbered stone lithos were initially priced at $2,500 each, and some of them are occasionally offered for sale at fixed prices. The example offered here (#16/200) is up for auction with a $1 starting price and no reserve! Condition: very good. The poster has slight scuffing and a few tiny tears around the edges (but since the poster was created with intentionally uneven edges, these minor defects are not distracting.
