Douglas"; a wild story of a young doctor and his dedicated older mentor who teaches him to put nothing before medicine; but he falls in love with an American girl who was raised by a Chinese family and who wants to help in China, but his mentor convinces him to forget about her, but then he decides he made a giant mistake and searches China for her, and finds her only to be seriously injured in his head, and his mentor travels to China to operate on him, but he is in a coma, but at the conclusion, his girlfriend returns, which miraculously brings him out of his coma) starring Dorothy Lamour, Akim Tamiroff, John Howard, Judith Barrett, William Collier Sr., Billy Cook, and Keye Luke NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this was printed by the "other company". This was a company in the Midwest that from roughly 1936 to roughly 1941 printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets (and a very few inserts, half-sheets, three-sheets, 40x60s and stills) for three major studio movies (Warner Brothers, Paramount and United Artists, but no other studios). The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They never have the name of the releasing studio on the poster or any of the lobby cards, but many years later, noted poster dealer/historian Walter Reuben discovered that the name of the company was "Associated Displays Corporation" and that they were based in Manhattan, New York (oddly, no collectors knew the name of this company for decades!). Sometimes, "other company" posters or lobby cards have images that are the equal of those from the regular studio release posters or lobby cards! Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Also note that the theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces). Condition: fair.
