Alfred Hitchcock's To Catch a Thief, the 1955 Alfred Hitchcock romantic crime mystery thriller ("It's a web of romance and suspense that spins you from delight to danger - then spirals to an explosive climax on the fabulous Riviera!"; "Based on the novel by David Dodge"; "Screenplay by John Michael Hayes"; about a retired jewel thief living on the Riviera, and there is a string of daring jewel robberies, so naturally, he is the lead suspect, and he decides to find the true thief himself, and he is aided by a beautiful rich young woman and her mother!) starring Cary Grant, Grace Kelly, Jessie Royce Landis, John Williams, Charles Vanel, Brigitte Auber, Rene Blancard, Georgette Anys, and Jean Martinelli. Note that Cary Grant had announced his retirement from movies in 1953, but he was lured out of retirement by Hitchcock to make this one. Also note that Jessie Royce Landis, who had played Grant's mother in "North by Northwest", this time played his potential mother-in-law, and yet, she was only eight years older than Grant, who had aged very well!

Condition: very good. the poster is paperbacked; it has had really wonderful restoration, and it is difficult to see exactly what was done even from inches away!; the poster had a 5" tear starting in the middle of the right blank border and extending into the image background and it appears there was small paper loss in the image background near the end of the tear; it also appears there was paper loss in the upper middle of the left border that extended into Grant's right cheek; this area was really wonderfully replaced!; other than these defects, it only appears that the poster had some minor stains and smudges in the borders, and they have been rendered virtually invisible through restoration; The poster really looks wonderful and I can't imagine a collector who would not be happy to have it in their collection!
