An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Caught Plastered, the 1931 William A. Seiter (billed as "WM. Seiter") screwball comedy ("The Big Roar"; like most of Wheeler & Woolsey's comedies, the plot just serves as a background to an endless series of gags; in this one, they are helping an old lady keep from losing her drugstore, and being forced into an old folks home) starring Bert Wheeler, Robert Woolsey (Wheeler & Woolsey), Dorothy Lee, Lucy Beaumont, and Jason Robards Sr.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that first release 1931 movie paper from this film is extremely rare! We have auctioned a lobby card, a herald, and a glass slide, but never before a first release U.S. poster!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds. It had minor wear on the foldlines. It had a 2" vertical tear just to the right of the top crossfold. It had several small vertical tears in the left and right of the middle foldline and many pinholes around the edges. There was a tear in the bottom right solid black area and some smudges and scuffs scattered in the solid colored areas. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
