An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Cool Hand Luke, the classic 1967 Stuart Rosenberg prison escape crime thriller ("The man... and the motion picture that simply do not conform."; "What we have here is a failure to communicate."; "It looks like Luke is communicating real good- with women... with men... like with just about everybody!"; "'Hell - that Luke is a real world-shaker!'"; about a hard headed inmate) starring Paul Newman ("Paul Newman just bugs the establishment as Cool Hand Luke"; nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role "as Cool Hand Luke", Lucas Jackson), George Kennedy (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as Dragline), J.D. Cannon (as Society Red), Jo Van Fleet (as Arletta, Luke's mother), Robert Drivas (as Loudmouth Steve), Lou Antonio (as Koko), Strother Martin (as "Captain", the warden of the prison), Dennis Hopper (as Babalugats), Clifton James (as Carr), Wayne Rogers (as Gambler), Harry Dean Stanton (as Tramp), Morgan Woodward (as Boss Godfrey, "the man with no eyes", who has no dialogue at all, but who plays a very significant role), Joy Harmon (as "Lucille", the sexy girl washing the car), Cyril 'Chips' Robinson (as the black African American boy who helps Paul Newman escape), Jan Watson, and Susanne Benton (Watson and Benton only appear in the photo that Luke sends to the inmates of the prison to cheer them up!) Condition: very good to fine. a 2" light crease mark across the very top of Newman's hair and a 1/2" crease at the top of the image to the right of the first crease; light diagonal creases in the top corners; a few faint scuffs in the left and right sides of the image; None of the above creases or scuffs are particularly noticeable. You pretty much have to "look" for them. Something about the paper the lobby cards for this movie were printed on (or the inks that were used) caused these lobby cards to scuff extremely easily. I have had many lobby cards from this movie, and most were very scuffed, and the best of them were not in all that good condition. By contrast, this card is as nice condition as I have seen a card from this set, and this, of course, is the famous "egg eating" card! Learn More about condition grades
