An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style A Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More)

College Holiday, the 1936 Frank Tuttle college university school comedy (about a woman who runs a summer resort, and she invites very intelligent and physically gifted college students of both sexes to stay there, hoping that they will pair off and that their wonderful genes will produce "perfect" children; this story of a framework that allows the top comics in the movie to perform long comic routines; this "science" of making perfect children was called "Eugenics", and it was popular in the middle 1930s, but Adolf Hitler's adopting of this caused it to dramatically fall out of favor, and afterwards, it was pretty much a taboo subject!) starring Jack Benny, George Burns, Gracie Allen (Burns & Allen), Mary Boland, Martha Raye, Marsha Hunt, Eleanore Whitney, Johnny Downs, and Leif Erickson (in one of his early minor roles)

Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned one example of this poster before! Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair to good. The poster has significant creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges (partially repaired with tape from the back) and many scuffs and smudges scattered in various areas (see our image). After proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
