An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Dodge City, the classic 1939 Michael Curtiz Kansas romantic love triangle cowboy western ("West of Chicago there is no law!! West of Dodge City there is no God!!"; about a cowboy who helps clean up a town sometimes run by outlaws, and his romancing of a "good" girl and a "bad" dance hall girl) starring Errol Flynn, Olivia De Havilland, Ann Sheridan, Alan Hale Sr., Frank McHugh, Bruce Cabot, John Litel, Henry Travers, Victor Jory, William Lundigan, Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams, Ward Bond, and Monte Blue NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. card has darkened (typical of Warner Bros. linen cards of this period), but the card is not at all fragile; it was once in a bound volume, and it was removed during the binding, 1/4" was trimmed from the left blank border, and removing the card caused it to have a tattered left edge, with many tiny holes down the edge; there are two pinholes in the top center of the card, one in the bottom center and one in the center of the right border; there are four pinholes in the center of the card causing tiny surface paper loss in Cabot's shoulder; there are a few barely noticeable creases within the image and a faint water stain in the top blank border above the "F" of "FLYNN"; The card is in better condition than the above makes it sound. Most of its defects are relatively minor and are in the borders. The card would display great and I would think most collectors would be happy to have it on their wall!
