Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded Chapter #3 One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Commando Cody: Sky Marshall of the Universe, the 1953 Franklin Adreon, Fred C. Brannon, & Harry Keller science fiction (sci-fi) outer space serial ("Commando Cody in his amazing space adventures"; "Sky Marshall [sic] of the Universe"; "Written by Ronald Davidson") starring Judd Holdren (in the title role as "Commando Cody"; billed on some items as "Judd Holden"), Aline Towne, William Shallert, Richard Crane, Grant Withers, and Joanne Jordan. Note that this character was in a serial the previous year called "Radar Men From the Moon", but in that serial he was played by George Wallace.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a "stock" poster created by Republic Pictures for use for all of the chapters of their "Commando Cody" series. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank rectangle in the bottom right. They would be sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, and they could paste in each chapter title snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Also, note that a knowledgeable collector believes that Glenn Cravath created the art for this item. However, we cannot be 100% certain. If anyone has definitive proof such as signed original art, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good to fine. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster was in really nice condition prior to backing; it had only the most minor fold and border wear and it looks really great now!
