Burnett"; about a "perfect robbery" with a team of top professionals, but of course, everything unravels, partially through double-crosses; perhaps the best movie of its kind!) starring Sterling Hayden, Louis Calhern, Jean Hagen, James Whitmore, Sam Jaffe (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), John McIntire, Marilyn Monroe, Marc Lawrence, Barry Kelley, Anthony Caruso, Teresa Celli, Brad Dexter, Don Haggerty, and Daniel Clarke NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. What IS gelbacking? Learn More Condition: good to very good. The card had pinholes and a few small tears around the edges, with smudges and faint stains in the borders, with some extending into part of the title. There were some pinholes scattered in the image, including one in Marilyn's cheek and some tiny stains to the left of her hair. Overall, the card was in good condition prior to restoration. A talented restorer gel backed the card (meaning they backed the card onto a gel material) and they then performed restoration to the above defects, and then removed the gel backing, so that the card still looks and feels like an original card (and it is!), with no backing at all. Given the card's defects described above, the restorer did a pretty good job, but you can see signs of the defects and the restoration, but the card displays pretty well (see our super-sized images to get a good sense of exactly how the card looks now).
