He would often appear briefly in his own movies as a gag. Some of his movies include: Rear Window (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), North By Northwest, Psycho (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Vertigo, Strangers on a Train, Notorious, Rebecca (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Shadow of a Doubt, The 39 Steps, The Lady Vanishes, The Birds, Dial M for Murder, Lifeboat (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Spellbound, The Man Who Knew Too Much (he made this one TWICE!), The Trouble with Harry, and many, many more! He passed away in 1980 at the age of 80. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been numbered on the exterior box 184 out of 250! Also note that this figure has the director in a tailored fabric suit, with a director's chair, interchangeable hands, and a few nods to some of his classic films including 2 cigars (one lit and one unlit), a raven, a clapboard, a butcher knife, and (for this particular limited edition figure) a seagull!
