Note that this movie, together with Francois Truffaut's "Les quatre cents coups" began the French "New Wave", which revolutionized film-making, not only in France, but the world over! Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned three examples this French poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this French movie, and the last one sold for $1,270! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and creases, scuffs, and a few tiny tears on parts of most folds. It had pinholes and smudges around the edges, with paper loss near the middle of the right blank border and a few tiny bits of paper loss in the rest of the blank borders. It had a few pinholes scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
