An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Style A Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28") (Learn More)

Forever and a Day, the 1943 Rene Clair & Edmund Goulding (also directed by Cedric Hardwicke, Frank Lloyd, Victor Saville, Robert Stevenson, and Herbert Wilcox) World War II (WWII) historical military romantic melodrama ("The greatest talent array ever gathered in an unforgettable motion picture!"; "The theme so sweeping, The story so vast that a whole 'Who's who' of Hollywood joined to bring it to you!"; "More big names than any picture ever produced... In a cast that boasts..."; "...78 Front-Ranked Players!"; "Every scene compelling and vital through the production genius of..."; "...7 Top-Flight Directors!"; "Unmatched romance, drama and suspense from the inspired pens of..."; "21 Celebrated Authors!"; "The 'Must-See' hit of your lifetime!..."; "Your biggest screen thrill ever... As this drama unfolds, each scene blazing with great stars... As you find yourself absorbed by the fascinating story written by a score of brilliant authors... Outstandingly produced by Hollywood's ace directors! The 'must-see' picture of your life!"; "78 stars in one great picture!"; "78 stars in a great story as big as the cast!"; "78 stars in one great drama as big as the cast!"; "21 Famous Writers! 7 Great Directors!"; "Never Has This Wealth of Talent Been Matched On Any Screen!") starring Brian Aherne, Robert Cummings (Bob Cummings), Charles Laughton, Ida Lupino, Herbert Marshall, Ray Milland, Anne Neagle, Merle Oberon, Eric Blore, Nigel Bruce, Gladys Cooper, Robert Coot, Donald Crisp, June Duprez, Isobel Elson, Reginald Gardiner, Edmond Gwenn, Cedric Hardwicke, Richard Hayden, Hallwell Hobbes, Edward Everett Horton, Patric Knowles, Elsa Lanchester, Anna Lee, Gene Lockhart, Jessie Matthews, Ian Hunter, Victor McLaglen, Una O'Connor, Reginald Owen, Claude Rains, C. Aubrey Smith, Kent Smith, Arthur Treacher, Ruth Warrick, Dame May Whitty, Roland Young, and "42 more Hollywood favorites"! The movie was written in part by Alfred Hitchcock, C.S. Forester and Gene Lockhart. Note that one bit of advertising for this all-star ensemble movie says "78 stars" while another says "42 more Hollywood favorites", after a list of 8 names. That seems to leave 28 other stars (perhaps they were stars who were NOT from Hollywood)!

Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards.

Condition: fair. The poster was folded and there were creases and some tiny paper loss on both foldlines. There were some creases and small tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was well backed, but after it was backed, it became wet in the right 6", which has caused the poster the greatly ripple in that area, and there are some noticeable water stains as well, both in the poster and in the paper backing. If I owned this poster, I would certainly have it removed from the paper backing, and re-backed. Please bear in mind the extensive water damage to the right 6" before placing a bid on this poster!
