An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) All-Star Comedies, the 1950 stock poster ("Another Laugh-Filled Riot of Fun with some of the screen's most popular comedians") for a series of Columbia comedy shorts. Theaters would be given this poster when they booked any of these shorts, and they could display it in their lobby at that time. It appears that this is an updated version of a 1940 Columbia stock poster, because it clearly has a 1940 copyright date in the lower left corner, although there is a 1950 NSS number in the lower right corner. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the middle crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds, with minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
