The Miraculous MiniCopter! The Fantastic Chase! The Most Beautiful Spies in History!"; "Matt Helm is alive and well and swinging in Copenhagen -- so far!"; "Based on the novel by Donald Hamilton") starring Dean Martin ("as Matt Helm"), Elke Sommer, Sharon Tate, Nancy Kwan, Nigel Green, Tina Louise, and Chuck Norris (uncredited in his very first movie role!). Note that Dean Martin was so distraught over the murder of his co-star and friend Sharon Tate, that he abandoned the next "Matt Helm" motion picture series installment (to be titled "The Ravagers"), and never played the character again. Important Added Info: We previously auctioned a different set of these same five door panels (also missing one), and that set sold for $1,737, and it was only in "good" condition. This auction is for five out of the set of six door panels that were created for this movie (the one not being offered is the one that featured Dean Martin). These five door panels feature full-length images of four lead female stars of the movie (Sharon Tate, Elke Sommer, Nancy Kwan, and Tina Louise), and the fifth one features one of the "Slaymates", who we have been unable to identify (and neither has anyone we have asked!). Condition: very good. The door panels were basically unfolded, but at one time, each of them was folded at the bottom of the image, because someone displayed solely the images. They all have some creases and tiny stains around the edges, and the one with Tina Louise has 2" of light staining at the top, in the area above her head. The one with the actress we can't identify has darkening on the back of the bottom, and it has scuffs and creases across the bottom 3", with a tear in the bottom left corner that was repaired with tape from the back. Overall, these very rare door panels have survived in pretty nice condition. One could certainly display them as they are or choose to have restoration performed.
