Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned three examples of this card, but the last time was 23 years ago! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. Some theater needed a still from this movie, and they took this wonderful card and trimmed the image area to roughly 8" x 10", preserving most of the image, but losing all of the title and credits. The card also had some smudges and stains in the image. Many years ago, a talented restorer (likely Igor Edelman) linenbacked the card and recreated the missing portions, including all of the title and credits. Obviously, one would much prefer to have a complete card, but examples of this card are very rarely seen at auction or for sale! We leave it to bidders to decide how they value this card (we have placed a grade of "fair" on it, but of course, it is difficult to grade incomplete items that have had their missing portions recreated).
