Green silent Spain horror crime comedy ("From the play by Paul Dickey and Charles Goddard"; about a young man who has been hired by a wealthy young woman to rid her Spanish castle of ghosts and search for a hidden treasure; he soon realizes that the "ghosts" are not real, but a ploy by a neighboring Duke who hopes to win the woman's hand and claim the treasure for himself!) starring Wallace Reid, Lila Lee, Walter Hiers, Arthur Edmund Carewe, J. Farrell MacDonald, Mervyn LeRoy, and Richard Arlen (both LeRoy and Arlen were uncredited as "ghosts"!). Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. Also note that this film was remade in 1940 as "The Ghost Breakers" starring Bob Hope and Paulette Goddard and later in 1953 as "Scared Stiff" starring Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. We have provided both a high quality scan of the image and also a separate image of how the glass slide looks, but in that digital image, you can really just see the outline of the slide and defects (if any) around the edges. Condition: very good. The theater that used this put a thin strip of paper tape over the play dates area that had the dates they were showing this movie stenciled in it. Otherwise, the slide is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
