An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian Two-Panel (known in Italy as a "4 Fogli") Movie Poster (2p; measures 55" x 78") (Learn More)

Blow-Up (sometimes known as "Blowup" or "Blow Up"), the 1967 Michelangelo Antonioni (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) English/Italian/U.S. crime mystery thriller ("Michelangelo Antonioni's first English language film"; "Antonioni's camera never flinches. At love without meaning. At murder without guilt. At the dazzle and the madness of London today."; "Two fanatical teenagers on David Hemmings in the hope that he will use them as models."; about a successful photographer who feels completely detached from his photographs of violence and pain until he takes a photo of a couple in a park and discovers a possible murder) starring Vanessa Redgrave, David Hemmings, Sarah Miles, John Castle, Jane Birkin (in her second credited movie role!), Gillian Hills, and Veruschka von Lehndorff (billed as "Verushka" in her first film role, the Russian model who is featured on most of the posters from this classic Antonioni film!), and The Yardbirds (including Jimmy Page & Jeff Beck)

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this partially Italian movie! Note that when this movie first came out in 1966, the original poster campaign had a photographic image, but when the movie became a major sensation, new posters were created with a striking image by Ercole Brini. Since the movie was never out of release during that time, the 1967 posters are not generally considered "re-releases", but they ARE from 1967 (although there are no similar posters from 1966, only photographic posters which are extremely rare).

Condition: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at some crossfolds and creases and small tears on parts of some foldlines. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that someone displayed the poster on a wall by putting nails or tacks around the edges of the poster in the excess linen, so there are holes in the excess linen, but they do not affect the poster at all.
