An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 42 1/2" x 79 1/2" [108 x 202 cm]) (Learn More)

Pathway to Hell, the circa 1930s teen melodrama ("A timely warning to parents of today"; "The great drama of moral uplift"; "Adults Only"; "'Wake up America' Must youth be burned at Satan's altar?"; "A flaming drama of sin's consequences!"; "For broadminded adults only"). There is a very real possibility that this movie is a re-release of Dwain Esper's 1932 movie, "The Seventh Commandment". Aside from the image on the posters for this movie fitting well with the Esper movie, both the one-sheet and three-sheet from this movie we have seen use taglines that were also used to advertise Esper's movie in 1932. But unless we can get firm confirmation that this movie is indeed actually "The Seventh Commandment", we will continue to list them are two separate movies. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this movie (which may be a re-titling of "The Seventh Commandment"; see above) is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned two one-sheets from this movie until we received this three-sheet!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Note that this poster ships in a very long tube (at least 33" long, but possibly 50" long or more). Therefore the shipping for this poster will be more than that for a poster that ships in a tube 32" or shorter, and possibly much more. Please bear this added shipping expense in mind before bidding on this poster. You can tell how long of a tube this poster needs to ship in by looking at the shorter dimension of its length and width and then adding 4" to that (so a 47" x 63" poster will need to ship in a 51" long tube).

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and small tears and tiny paper loss on parts of some folds, with some scuffs in the solid black and red areas, which may be a minor printing defect. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
