Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never machine folded, but it had a slightly diagonal crease across the poster near the middle. It had some tears and paper loss in the left and right borders. It had an orange paper snipe glued to the bottom area (it was likely printed with a blank bottom so that it could be used for different events, and this snipe was for a specific event. It had printing in the very bottom of that snipe that was blacked over, and we think it was overprinted. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but after it was backed, it was roughly handled, and it acquired a horizontal crease in the center of the poster, 3" from the bottom border, that has caused the poster to crack in that area, with some tiny surface paper loss (see our image). Any restorer could likely repair that area without re-backing the poster.
