Mechagodzilla"), the 1974 Jun Fukuda Japanese Toho kaiju battling rubbery monsters science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("See the Mighty Godzilla in a fight to the death with his mechanical double!"; "All new! Never seen before!"; "Godzilla fights his robot double to prevent destruction of Earth!") starring Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, Anguirus, King Caesar, Masaaki Daimon, Kazuya Aoyama, Reiko Tajima, Akihiko Hirata, and Hiromi Matsushita. Note that Universal (producers of The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman) threatened to sue because of the word "bionic" in the U.S. title. The title was quickly changed to Godzilla vs. Cosmic Monster during it's first release run and remained the same when it was re-released in 1978. Artist: Zeineddine Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Lebanese poster! Note that in the past two years, we at eMoviePoster.com were consigned recent Egyptian posters that were used at an Egyptian movie theater showing classic movies. We were told that these showings occurred starting around 20 years ago, and that they continued to the present day. Some of those posters appeared to be 10 or more years old, but others seemed to be from the last couple of years. In April 2021, we were consigned FIVE hand painted billboard sized Lebanese posters that apparently hung on the walls at similar Lebanese showings! Each of those measured around 6 feet by 12 feet, and each was a one of a kind poster, painted by a specific Lebanese artist, "Zeineddine", and four of those posters sold for around $150 each, and one of them, from Star Wars, sold for $420! Now we have been consigned 13 more of these hand painted "billboard" Lebanese posters, and we are auctioning them in 13 separate auctions, and they include five Star Wars related posters, three James Bonds, two Godzillas, one Bruce Lee, Scarface, and Barbarella! We have been told that this specific poster was used between 10 and 25 years ago at a showing of this movie in Lebanon, but we can't verify that for certain. The above is all the information we have about this poster, so please do not bid unless you can accept these uncertainties as to exactly when it was created and how it was used. Also note that this Lebanese poster was printed in 5 sections designed to overlap. Condition: good to very good. As described above, this is a one of a kind hand painted poster, created on multiple sheets of poster paper. It was attached to a wall with pins around the edges, so there are pinholes around the edges.
