Did you know... that we just added over 28,000 "missing" images to our Auction History?Return to Did You Know Archive Added: 07/13/2015 We have over 1,128,000 records in our Auction History and previously had 93,000 of them without images (and each of them has a "placeholder" that says "We're working on it"). Now, we have done a lot of that work, and this week we loaded over 28,000 of those "missing" images (all ones from our 2000 to 2005 auctions). THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY THE CORRECT IMAGES OF THE POSTERS WE AUCTIONED IN THOSE 28,000 AUCTIONS! That was the "hold up". We did not want to load "stock images" for those auctions, because we knew over time we would be able to match up the exact correct ones. So there are now just 65,000 images "missing", and of course, we will work on those as well, but we may end up having to use "stock images" on some fair number of them, because we NEVER use an image in our Auction History unless we are sure it is the exact poster we auctioned. When we are NOT sure, then we use an image that is possibly the right one, and we put a "This may be a stock image" notation next to that image. We would like to have shown you all of these 28,000 "newly added" images by themselves in a single gallery, but there are so many of these images, that we can't even put them all in a single gallery! So we have created three custom galleries that allow you to browse just these newly added images (because we imagine some of you would like to look at them by themselves, knowing that there will surely be a fair number of images you have never seen before): The first gallery of "missing images" contains 3,608 one-sheets:
