Now of course the above cartoon is an exaggeration, but not by as much as you might imagine! On Sunday April 8th, a truck driven by two of our employees pulled into our warehouse, and it was FILLED with the entire collection of a dealer/collector who had decided to consign everything he had to us (more about our employees picking it up below). The next morning we received a truck delivery of over one TON (2,000 pounds) of movie posters from another dealer who had decided to quit the business. And just two weeks later a collector drove to us with his vehicle filled to overflowing with choice posters he needed to sell!

Now we are the ONLY movie poster auction there is where this is not that remarkable, and, because we own an entire city block, we can easily accommodate even these kinds of massive collections. And of course most days we receive ten or twenty packages sent to us by some of our over 900 consignors, and those don't pose a problem either!

But because we auction on SUCH a massive scale (2,000 to 2,500 items most weeks and well over 100,000 items a year) we ALWAYS need more consignments. Here are our most common types of consignors:
1) Dealers who are looking to sell all their slow moving inventory at one time, so they can reinvest the proceeds into items that are more salable.
2) Dealers who have just purchased items or entire collections specifically intending to "flip" most or all of what they bought to us, because this way they do no work (other than get the items to us).
3) Dealers looking to quit the business, usually because they are fed up with eBay, and/or the daily grind of creating auctions and sending packages, and they know there is no better way to liquidate (with no work) other than through us.
4) Collectors whose tastes have changed or who are looking to get rid of the items in their collection they least care about, so they can free up that money to buy new purchases, and without essentially getting a second job selling their items!
5) Collectors who have reached a point where they are ready to sell their entire collection, and they want to of course get the most money while not needing to try to sell the items one by one.

ALL of these types of consignors know that WE are the people who they have had honest dealings with for years (many up to 23 years) and they know it makes sense to entrust their valued collectibles to someone they KNOW they can 100% trust.

NOW ABOUT US COMING TO YOU TO PICK UP YOUR COLLECTION! If you have a VERY sizable collection (in terms of total value of the items, or the total number of items, or both), then it can be incredibly daunting to consider having to pack and ship everything (and this is greatly compounded when the owner is getting along in years, or when it is an estate situation, where the heirs know little about the items).

In these cases, we can offer to have eMoviePoster.com employees come to YOU, and expertly pack the items into a truck and drive them back here. Now of course you need to pay the cost of that move, but often it will be less than the cost of simply sending the items, and there are two great benefits. First, you save the considerable time involved in packing a large collection (after first acquiring the packing material) and second, there is next to no chance of any damage to your valuable possessions!
