As we told you when we announced we are going to bi-weekly auctions starting January 7, 2020, one of the big reasons we are doing so is so we can not work so hard (and if we mostly eliminate the VERY low value items we have been auctioning, we can still do just as many quality items with half the auctions)! Another side benefit is that those of you who bid in almost all our auctions, now will have two weeks to review them, so you WON'T be tied to your computer every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday!

But there is another really good benefit. While we have auctions every week, it was always a struggle to get 3,000 ready each week, so we were always coming "right down to the wire" with each set of auctions, and that made the chances of mistakes far greater. But once we go to bi-weekly auctions starting January 7, we will be "only" preparing 3,000 auctions every OTHER week (half as many), so we should be able to quickly get far ahead.

Our goal is to be a full month ahead after three or four months of auctions, so that means we will have the entire upcoming month's auctions all set when the first of the month arrives! We also intend to use the extra time we have to "catch up" on lots of projects we have not had time for, and most of all, we want to get 100% caught up on old consignments that are here.

Once we do that, that means that when a new consignment arrives, we will be able to COMPLETELY process it within a few weeks, so as to make certain that ALL of those items will appear in our next couple of month's auctions of those sizes. We intend to make our business, which almost everyone agrees is the best run auction there is, be even MORE efficient than ever before!
