eMoviePoster.com was founded in 1999 as the first all-movie poster auction website. We have auctioned well over 1.8 MILLION posters (movie and NON-movie), lobby cards, stills and related items through our auctions since 1999, surely the most of any online auction!

Did you know... that the Chrome browser works MUCH better than any other browser for viewing our auctions (and other complex sites like Facebook)?

It's true. Have YOU noticed that our auctions (or Facebook pages, or any other data rich sites) slow REALLY slowly? Several of us here at eMoviePoster.com noticed this on our home computers (even though we have "cable" connections, and NOTHING helped). That is, UNTIL we switched to Google Chrome and the difference is incredible!

There is no doubt that currently the "best" browser for a good Internet experience is currently Google Chrome. If you currently have it installed, then you know what we are saying. But if you don't, you really need to get it installed.

Do you need help knowing how to download and install Google Chrome? Below we have instructions on how to download chrome and how to install it on Windows or Mac desktop computers. Of course, if you are using a phone or a tablet, you can download it using your device's app store.

NOTE: If you have ANY trouble, please email phillip@emovieposter.com, and be sure to tell him what device you are using, what version number, and at which step you had trouble, and we'll do our best to help.

Of course, it is fine to continue using Firefox, Safari, or whatever other browser you may be using, but if you experience any problems with it, you should give Chrome a try!

How to Download Chrome

  1. Use your internet browser to navigate to www.google.com/chrome
  2. Click on the blue "Download Chrome" button.
  3. A new window will pop up. On this new window, you will see a check box with the following text next to it "Help make Google
Chrome better by automatically sending usage statistics and crash reports to Google. Learn more"
  4. It is suggested that you un-check that check box.
  5. Click the blue "Accept and Install" button.
  6. If prompted, click "Save".
  7. If you chose "Save", navigate to the downloaded file, which can normally be found in your "Downloads" folder on your computer.

How to Install Chrome on Windows

  1. The file's name is "ChromeSetup". Double-click on it to start installing.
  2. A window may pop up asking if you want to allow Google Chrome to make changes to your PC. To continue, click the "Yes" button.
  3. Google Chrome will proceed to download and install itself.
  4. Congratulations. Chrome should have successfully been installed on your computer.
    • Windows 7: A Chrome window opens once everything is done.
    • Windows 8 & 8.1: A welcome dialog appears. Click Next to select your default browser.
    • Windows 10: A Chrome window opens after everything is done. You can make Chrome your default browser.

How to Install Chrome on a Mac

  1. Open the file called "googlechrome.dmg."
  2. In the window that opens, find Chrome.
  3. Drag Chrome to the Applications folder.
    1. You might be asked to enter the admin password.
    2. If you don't know the admin password, drag Chrome to a place on your computer where you can make edits, like your desktop.
  4. Open Chrome.
  5. Open Finder.
  6. In the sidebar, to the right of Google Chrome, click Eject.

Remember, if you have ANY trouble doing the above, please email phillip@emovieposter.com, and be sure to tell him what device you are using, what version number, and at which step you had trouble, and we'll do our best to help.
